• Dare to create vibrant pigments and technical cuts!
• The winner of each category will demonstrate technical excellence in both colour & cut.

NEW TALENT

• Dare to shine! Be Aveda’s new talent only for apprentices

when do entries close?

• Entries must be received by Sunday 15th April 2012. The deadline for entry is final; no entries will be accepted after the deadline
• Finalists will be selected by a panel of local and international judges
• Names of the finalists will be announced Sunday 6th May 2012
• Winners will be announced at a celebration to be held on Sunday 27th May, 2012 (venue TBC)

what are the contest rules?

• All contestants are recommended to use a professional model and photographer
• Hair Colourists are required to use Full Spectrum™
• Aveda hair colour must be used exclusively
• Aveda makeup must be used exclusively
• Prizes are not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash and the winner of the Colour Harmony Award must be available to travel to an international education event in 2012/13 (actual date tbc) or forfeit
• Aveda reserves the right to use the salon’s and the winners’ names and photographic images for publicity purposes as seen fit
• All work submitted will be the sole work of the entrants. All work is accepted in good faith. Instant disqualification will apply to any team abusing this rule
• No wigs, wefts, hairpieces or hair extensions may be used
• Photographic material and entries submitted for these awards cannot be returned to entrants
• The judges’ decisions are final

how to enter

• Have the salon sign the Aveda & Salon Agreement and have the model sign the Model Release Form both available for download from: www.avedacolourharmony.com.au
• Submit a digital and 8” x 10” printed photo of the model’s hair prior to colouring
• Submit two 8” x 10” colour photographs of the same image of the model’s finished hair and makeup
• Submit a digital file on CD of the photograph at 300 dpi (dots per inch) A5 size (minimum) – JPEG format
• Submit completed Entry Form, Technical Information Sheet, Photos, signed Aveda & Salon Agreement and signed Model Release Form listed above to: Aveda Colour Harmony Awards, 165-175 Mitchell Rd, Erskineville, NSW 2043, Australia
• Multiple entries – must be clearly labeled and packaged with a separate entry form
